Sputnik: Yemen peace plan to be signed in Saudi Arabia.
After the UN representative announced the peace agreement in Yemen, the Sputnik news agency claimed that the Yemen peace plan would be signed in Mecca at the beginning of next month.

Sputnik News Agency reported, citing a Yemeni diplomatic source, that the signing of the Yemen peace plan will take place in Mecca at the beginning of the next calendar month.

The source also said that Saudi Arabia has agreed to pay the salaries of all government employees in Yemen for one year. However, official Yemeni sources have not confirmed the accuracy of this matter.

Hans Grundberg, the UN representative for Yemen, announced this week about an agreement between the Yemeni National Salvation Government and the Riyadh-affiliated government, stating that a roadmap for achieving peace has been considered.

In the context of Ansar Allah’s strong presence in the Red Sea waters, the serial seizure of ships belonging to and associated with the Zionists, US and Western efforts to create an international naval coalition against Sanaa, and the threat of the National Salvation Government to attack and carry out operations against military bases, one of the notable points is Grundberg’s prominent presence and frequent trips to the region, especially Riyadh.

Grundberg recently continued his movements in the Yemen file and, after completing his intensive meetings in Oman, traveled to Riyadh, meeting with Khalid bin Salman, the Saudi Defense Minister, and the officials responsible for the Yemen file and other Saudi officials, to negotiate the conditions for achieving peace in Yemen and starting Yemeni-Yemeni negotiations.

It seems that Grundberg wants to use the current dusty and murky situation in the Red Sea as a diplomatic success and as a successful experience in his political and diplomatic career. He wants to bring this case to a conclusion at any cost and believes that the current situation is suitable for achieving the desired outcome.

Experts emphasize that Grundberg can be a carrier of messages from the West to restrict Sanaa, meaning that the UN envoy, on behalf of Riyadh, is demanding conditions for negotiation and wants to push them toward a final solution with Sanaa.

According to these experts, the intensification of Grundberg’s efforts can mean keeping Sanaa busy with negotiations with Riyadh and other Yemeni players aligned with Riyadh, in a way that diverts Sanaa’s focus from the current situation in the Red Sea and brings them to the negotiation table.
