Syria: The “Knesset” vote against the establishment of the Palestinian state is an obstacle to the UN resolutions

PNN – While condemning the Knesset (Parliament of the Zionist regime) vote against the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered this action to be a violation of the historical rights of Palestinians and an obstacle to UN resolutions.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the official Syrian news agency (SANA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country emphasized in a statement: The Knesset vote of the Zionist regime against the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is a clear and new violation of the historical rights of the Palestinian nation and a dangerous obstacle to all relevant UN resolutions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria also announced: The recent resolution of the Knesset is in line with the occupation regime’s policy of depriving the Palestinians of the right to establish their own independent state in their own land with Jerusalem as its capital. In addition to being in clear contradiction with the principle of achieving comprehensive and just peace in the region, it is considered a dangerous threat to its security and stability.

In the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria, it is stated that this country, while rejecting this resolution and Knesset vote, as well as the support of the United States and some Western countries to the Zionist regime, emphasizes the right of the Palestinians to establish an independent Palestinian state in their land. He also wants all the countries of the world and the United Nations to take a firm stand against the Zionist regime’s expansionist policies, settlement building, killing and genocide by them.

The Israeli parliament approved the anti-Palestinian bill with 68 votes in favor, including Benny Gantz, leader of the Union Party, against nine.

The parties of the ruling coalition supported this plan, but the members of “Yesh Atid” party led by “Yair Lapid” left the voting session in order to refuse to support this plan.

In this plan, the formation of the Palestinian state was strongly opposed and this action was considered an existential threat to the Zionist regime.

Previously, the Knesset had passed a resolution in February that rejected the establishment of a Palestinian state unilaterally.

However, the Slovenian parliament recognized the independent state of Palestine with a majority of votes and joined the countries of Spain, Norway and Ireland that had previously recognized the idea of forming a Palestinian state.
