The difficult situation in Tel Aviv in terms of military force/possibility of increasing the time of compulsory service

PNN – The media of the Zionist regime acknowledged the crisis of the reduction of military forces in the army of this regime at the same time as the war in the Gaza Strip continued.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing al-Mayadeen, today the cabinet of the Zionist regime will consider the extension of service in the army of this regime for three years, and this decision is due to the urgent need for troops, as announced by the Zionist media “Kan”.

This Zionist media announced that the cabinet of the Israeli regime will discuss the proposal of the security and military centers regarding the extension of the service of reserve soldiers and compulsory service in the army for three years, and the ministers will comment on this. Also, other changes in the law related to the reserve forces proposed by the Minister of War Yoaf Gallant will also be discussed.

On June 21, the Minister of War of the Zionist regime asked the Prime Minister of this regime, Benjamin Netanyahu, to determine the date of an urgent meeting to examine the possibility of extending the mandatory service for three years.

This is despite the fact that the cabinet is passing a law to exempt “Haredis” (religious orthodox) from doing military service, other ministers are against this extension.

The media of the Zionist regime had previously revealed that only three percent of the settlers had served in the reserve unit since the beginning of the war. The media of this regime mentioned the reduction of this trend.

The army of the Zionist regime refuses to disclose the details of the number of registrations in the reserve forces under the pretext of information security, but at the same time it has acknowledged the fatigue and exhaustion of the soldiers of this regime.

Four months ago, the occupying army announced to the soldiers who were to be released from compulsory service, that four others should remain in the service of the army.

The lack of manpower in the Zionist army and the cabinet’s attempt to cancel the Haredi exemption has become a big controversy among the Zionists living in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The ruling cabinet through its coalition representatives in the Knesset (Parliament) of the Zionist regime recently approved the draft law exempting the Haredi from compulsory service in the first reading in the Knesset.

The Minister of War of the Zionist regime was the only representative of the ruling coalition who voted against it. This law must be approved in the second and third readings in the Knesset. Netanyahu’s purpose of this action was to satisfy the leaders of the parties and religious movements of his coalition in order to prevent them from leaving the cabinet and overthrowing him.

This law includes lowering the age of exemption from compulsory service for “Haredis” to 21 years; While the exemption age is now 26 years.

For decades, Haredi youth have been able to evade conscription by enrolling in religious schools to study religious texts and receiving frequent one-year study breaks until they reach the mandatory conscription exemption age.

But the Supreme Court of the Israeli regime recently ruled that the students of Haredi religious schools should be sent to compulsory service by implicitly rejecting this law.

Channel 12 of the Zionist regime’s TV also reported earlier that the army is powerless to prevent the withdrawal of its troops, and this issue has worsened the situation of its manpower.

According to this report, this year, 900 soldiers with the ranks of captain and major have requested to leave the army, while this number was 100 to 120 in previous years.

This Zionist network called the sharp increase in requests to withdraw from military service not only the crisis of the army, but also the crisis of the Israeli regime and declared that this issue is worrisome.

Meanwhile, the military analyst of Channel 12 of the Zionist regime said: The most difficult task now is to convince the officers to stay in the important posts, because in the last few months, the attempts of high-ranking officers to leave or to think about leaving the army have clearly increased.

Nir Dovari added: Most of the officers with the rank of lieutenant and major are at the end of their second decade of life and should plan for their next 10 to 20 years of service in the army.
