PNN – During a meeting with his Iranian counterpart in Turkmenistan, the Russian President asked Pezeshkian to convey his greetings to the Supreme Leader of the Revolution and stated that Moscow is aware of Tehran’s genuine efforts to end the conflict in the Middle East.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing RT Arabic; Vladimir Putin held a separate meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, while visiting Turkmenistan to attend the summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Caspian Sea environmental summit.
In this meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that relations between Russia and Iran are developing positively. He noted that the volume of trade between the two countries increased by more than 21 percent by the end of 2025, a trend that has continued into the first seven months of this year.
Putin also asked Pezeshkian to convey his greetings to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, stating: I ask you to convey my best wishes, as well as wishes for health and success, to Iran’s Supreme Leader.
The Russian President affirmed that his country is prepared to do everything in its power to assist Iran in resolving the Middle East crisis.
Putin emphasized: The situation in the Middle East is the most pressing issue. Iran is making genuine efforts to end the conflict in the Middle East, and Russia understands this.
