The Times: ISIS is gaining strength by exploiting the situation in Syria.
According to Al-Mayadeen, the British newspaper The Times reported that there are serious concerns about the conditions being created for the return of the ISIS terrorist organization to Syria and the reconstruction of its ranks.
The report states that ISIS has re-emerged in Syria over the past year, and the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East have drawn media attention to these issues, while many other issues have been hidden from view.
The Times warned that ISIS is gaining strength again, as at least 700 attacks have been carried out by its elements in Syria this year.
The report states that ISIS still has 2,500 forces in Syria and Iraq, and this number will increase as new elements are recruited in light of the political and military instability in Syria.
The Times pointed to ISIS’s terrorist actions in Syria, including the formation of underground networks and the assassination of tribal leaders in the country who oppose ISIS.
