PNN – US President Donald Trump used the shooting incident at last night’s White House event, which there are doubts about being fake, as an excuse to justify the construction of a new ballroom in the East Wing of the White House.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the US President wrote on the social network Truth Social on Sunday: What happened last night is precisely because our great military, our Secret Service, our law enforcement, and for various reasons, every president for the past 150 years, has wanted a large, safe, and secure ballroom on the White House grounds.

He said, referring to the controversial building project that led to the demolition of the East Wing of the White House: With the top-secret military ballroom currently under construction at the White House, this event would never have happened.

Trump also added: It’s not being built fast enough! Although it’s beautiful, it has the highest level of security, plus there are no rooms above it for people without security to enter, and it’s inside the White House gates.

Referring to a complaint filed by an American citizen against the construction of the new hall, the US president continued: Nothing should be allowed to interfere with its construction, which is on budget and significantly ahead of schedule.

Amid protests against the renovations at the White House, the US President released images of the renovations at this location and a memorial center in Washington in January last year.

He had said that the renovations would be carried out at his own expense and had estimated it at around $400 million.

Meanwhile, the National Historic Preservation Authority (NTHP) had also sued Donald Trump for the demolition of the East Wing of the White House without examining it in order to build a ballroom.
