PNN – The US president wrote in a message on his social media on Monday that apart from the incident with the South Korean ship, no other incidents have been reported in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Trump wrote in his message that Iran has attacked ships from unrelated countries during the Freedom of Navigation Project (in the Strait of Hormuz), including a South Korean toy ship, and that perhaps it is time for South Korea to join the mission.
He claimed: We have destroyed seven small boats or speedboats as they call them that is all they have left. The claim by Trump and US officials about targeting Iranian speedboats comes at a time when Iranian officials have denied this claim.
Trump continued his message by saying that, apart from the South Korean ship, there are currently no reports of damage in the Strait of Hormuz.
He said that Secretary of Defense Pete Hext and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Case will hold a news conference tomorrow morning.
CENTCOM claims about firing on American ships in the Strait of Hormuz
The commander of the terrorist organization CENTCOM made new but contradictory claims on Monday about Iranian drone and missile attacks on American-flagged ships.
Brad Cooper, the commander of the US Central Command, has claimed that Iran has launched missiles and drones, as well as used small boats, to attack US-flagged ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
However, he claimed that no vessels were hit and no one was injured.
He also claimed that the US military has used attack helicopters to destroy small boats and intercept Iranian drones.
He said US Navy ships were protecting US commercial vessels passing through the strait.
The US official declined to directly answer a question about whether the April 8 ceasefire between the US and Iran had ended.
He said: I don’t want to get into the details of whether the ceasefire is over or not. The important thing is that we are there only as a defensive force to protect commercial shipping.
However, Cooper claimed that Iran has been “aggressive.” He said that Iran has fired “multiple cruise missiles” at U.S.-flagged ships and the Navy ships that were protecting them.
