White House: The ground attack on Rafah is unjustified; there has been no change in our policy regarding Israel

PNN – John Kirby, the spokesman of the National Security Council of the White House, stated that Israel’s ground attack on Rafah is unjustified, despite the growing anger of international public opinion over Israel’s attack on the Palestinian refugee camp, and announced that there has been no change in the policies of Joe Biden’s government towards Israel.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, John Kirby, spokesman and coordinator of strategic communications of the White House’s National Security Council, answered whether the Israeli attack on Rafah on Sunday did not cross Biden’s red line? said: There are no policy changes that I would like to announce. We have to see the results of the Israeli research.

At the same time, this spokesperson of the Biden administration stated that the Biden administration is still against Israel’s massive ground attack in Rafah, claiming that the United States has not yet witnessed such an attack.

Kirby claimed: if such an attack is carried out, Biden will make a decision about supporting Israel.

He added: The Biden administration is worried that the way Israel is conducting operations has further isolated it in the world.

Earlier this month, US President Joe Biden threatened to suspend the delivery of some US-made offensive weapons if Israel enters population centers in Rafah.

Axios wrote: American officials explained that a humanitarian crisis as a result of massive displacement of civilians from Rafah could also be a violation of Biden’s red line.

An American official said that the White House is investigating the events in the Rafah camp to determine the possibility of violations of the American red line.

A spokesman for the White House National Security Council told Axios that the Biden administration is actively working with the IDF and its partners to assess the incident.

The spokesman of the US National Security Council said: The devastating images after the attack of the Israeli army in Rafah, which led to the deaths of dozens of innocent Palestinians, are heartbreaking. Israel has the right to attack Hamas, but as we have made clear, Israel must take all possible precautions to protect civilians.

In the days leading up to the disastrous airstrikes in Rafah, White House officials thought they had been able to significantly influence Israel’s operational plans for Rafah to avoid massive civilian casualties, according to three U.S. officials.

On May 26, the Israeli army killed at least 41 Palestinians, including women and children, and injured dozens of others by attacking the refugee camp in Rafah city in the south of the Gaza Strip.

The United Nations Security Council will hold a closed-door meeting this Tuesday evening local time (New York) at the request of Algeria regarding Israel’s attack on Rafah.

On Friday, the International Court of Justice, with 13 votes in favor and 2 votes against, ordered an immediate halt to the military operations of the Israeli regime in Rafah and demanded the reopening of the Rafah crossing for humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip.

Israel has also attacked the border city of Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians have taken refuge, under the pretext of destroying Hamas, which has caused international concern as it worsens the situation in the Gaza Strip.

During this period, Israel has not achieved anything other than massacres, destruction, war crimes, violations of international laws, bombardment of relief organizations and imposing famine and starvation in this region.

On the 235th day of the war, the Ministry of Health of Gaza announced that since the start of the Al-Aqsa storm operation on October 7th, the number of people injured in these crimes has increased to 36,96 and the number of injured has reached 81,136.
