Bagheli continued: “For two weeks, a chain of humanitarian disasters has occurred in Gaza. But not even a temporary truce was declared and the international community watched the continuous serial killings in Gaza as if they were watching a horror movie. There is no sound and we do not see any reaction. The decision-making and sanctioning bodies of the United Nations are locked. Due to the US veto, even a temporary ceasefire was not announced. Nothing came out of the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The meeting in Cairo has not had any results so far. As the National Movement Party, our call is this: if a cease-fire is not announced within 24 hours, Turkey must quickly act and do whatever is necessary, taking into account its historical, humanitarian, and religious responsibilities. It is the legacy of our ancestors to undertake the mission of protecting and defending Gaza.
