PNN – A Zionist writer and historian has held Benjamin Netanyahu responsible for the greatest catastrophe in the history of the Zionist regime, asserting that the Israeli regime is being run by “donkeys.”
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Yuval Noah Harari, a prominent Zionist writer and historian, launched a scathing attack on Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet in an article for the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper. He held the cabinet accountable for the greatest disaster in the history of the Zionist regime, emphasizing that since the October 7 operation, the regime has been led by figures who failed to identify threats or determine how to counter them.
In an article titled “Lions Led by Donkeys,” Harari described the past four years under the Netanyahu cabinet as one of the most difficult and dangerous periods since the establishment of the Zionist regime.
He sharply criticized the Netanyahu cabinet’s priorities prior to the outbreak of the war, noting that the cabinet had spent months pushing forward plans to weaken the Supreme Court and overhaul the judicial system, even as security agencies warned of escalating threats from Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran.
Harari added that, in the months leading up to the October 7 operation, the Zionist regime’s security agencies had issued a series of clear warnings to the cabinet regarding the likelihood of a major military confrontation.
According to him, former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, then-Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, and a number of other military and intelligence commanders were among the officials who had raised these warnings.
The Zionist writer emphasized that Netanyahu’s cabinet ignored these warnings and persisted with its “judicial overhaul”—a course of action that paved the way for the October 7 attack.
Harari’s criticisms were not limited to the cabinet’s conduct prior to the October 7 operation; he also sharply questioned Netanyahu’s management of the war.
He stated that the Israeli regime achieved a series of successes and carried out significant military operations during the war, yet the cabinet failed to translate these achievements into lasting political and strategic outcomes.
Harari noted that the Zionist regime’s military operations against targets linked to Hezbollah and Iran—as well as other security operations—have failed to yield enduring political gains; after years of conflict, the regime continues to face the same fundamental challenges.
He pointed out that Hamas remains present in the Gaza Strip and Hezbollah is rebuilding some of its capabilities in Lebanon, while the influence of other regional powers is simultaneously on the rise.
Harari emphasized that, despite the heavy military and human costs, Tel Aviv has failed to achieve lasting political or security stability.
The Zionist historian also accused Netanyahu’s cabinet of squandering the wave of international support and sympathy for the Zionist regime that followed the October 7 operation.
He stated that Netanyahu’s policies have undermined “Israel’s” standing on the international stage, noting that even the regime’s closest allies are widely criticizing its actions.
At the end of his article, Harari issued a stern warning to Israelis, stating that while it is still possible to rectify the situation, time is rapidly running out.
Harari described this election as the last opportunity to correct the Zionist regime’s course and called for an end to an era—characterized by crises, internal rifts, and successive wars—that he described as having been managed by “donkeys.”
