PNN – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty emphasized that losses incurred by the Suez Canal due to shipping disruptions in the Bab al-Mandab Strait have reached $11 billion.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Anadolu; the Egyptian Foreign Minister stated at a press conference that the Suez Canal’s losses resulting from shipping issues in the Bab al-Mandab Strait have amounted to $11 billion.

The report further notes that Badr Abdelatty called for guarantees regarding the security of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, ensuring that the flow of international trade and energy supplies continues without interruption.

Addressing developments in Palestine, the Egyptian Foreign Minister emphasized the need to halt Israeli actions that undermine prospects for calm—most notably the expansion of settlements.
