PNN – The Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman has corrected a major error regarding Iran.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi published a corrected version of his message concerning the cancellation of the Arab-Iran meeting on the social media platform X today.
In the original message, the Omani Foreign Minister had used the “Lion and Sun” flag of the defunct Pahlavi regime instead of the official flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran—which bears the emblem “Allah”—a move that drew a negative reaction from the country’s media.
Oman’s Foreign Minister has now completely deleted the previous post and published a new one, removing all flags and rectifying the major error.
In an anti-Iran move last year, the social media platform X removed the country’s flag from its emoji set, replacing it with the “Lion and Sun” flag of the defunct Pahlavi regime.
