PNN – Oman’s Foreign Minister announced that reaching an agreement with Iran regarding the Strait of Hormuz depends on the outcome of talks between Tehran and Washington.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Asharq, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi stated that reaching an agreement with Iran concerning the Strait of Hormuz hinges on the results of discussions between Tehran and Washington.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Al-Busaidi said that talks regarding the Hormuz agreement have concluded, but the finalization of arrangements depends on the outcome of negotiations between Iran and the U.S., as well as other outstanding issues.
He stated that an agreement on interim arrangements has been reached with Iran, and this agreement will remain in effect pending the outcome of talks between the United States and Iran.
It is worth noting that Al-Busaidi arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday for a two-day visit.
Earlier today, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced—via a post on the social media platform X—that the foreign ministers of Pakistan and Oman, Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Badr Al-Busaidi, had held discussions.
