PNN – A senior maritime intelligence and security analyst stated that Iran determines which vessels pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Al Jazeera English—citing Aaron Kennedy, a senior maritime intelligence and security analyst at the global consultancy Control Risks—reported that Iran currently dictates which vessels enter or exit the Persian Gulf.
According to him, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz has remained this way since the onset of attacks by the US and Israel against Iran.
Kennedy emphasized that Iran determines which ships may enter or exit the Persian Gulf and attacks vessels attempting to pass without its permission.
He added that even if the United States were to provide a “limited level of protection” for ships using this corridor, it would not be sufficient to prevent Iranian attacks.
