PNN – Al Jazeera has reported on the latest asset captured by Iranian forces from American “terrorists” in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Al Jazeera—in a report titled “Remus 600 in Iranian Hands: The US Fleet’s Intelligence Eye”—highlighted this latest capture by Iranian forces, noting that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced yesterday that it had seized control of a US Remus 600 unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV), considered one of America’s most important underwater espionage assets.
According to the report, the Remus 600 possesses specific tactical capabilities. This UUV (Unmanned Underwater Vehicle) measures four meters in length and can operate at depths of up to 600 meters to escort ships. It can be controlled for up to 70 consecutive hours via GPS; its primary mission involves locating and pinpointing naval mines, transmitting images, and gathering intelligence in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran had previously announced, on September 8, the capture of another UUV named “Dive-AD,” which is capable of operating at depths of up to 6,000 meters.
The Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the capture of a second unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) belonging to the US terrorist military in the Strait of Hormuz. The captured vessel is a Remus 600, an advanced, intelligent unmanned underwater vehicle.
The statement reads: With the help of God Almighty, and through a coordinated, complex operation involving intelligence oversight and electronic warfare, IRGC Navy forces successfully captured an advanced unmanned underwater vehicle belonging to the US terrorist military that was operating for espionage purposes in the Strait of Hormuz.
This UUV (Unmanned Underwater Vehicle) is a Remus 600—an advanced, intelligent underwater craft—that was captured by IRGC Navy personnel; it has now been handed over to the force’s specialists for data recovery.
The IRGC Navy firmly declares that the Strait of Hormuz is closed, and we are taking decisive, unceasing action against dangerous maneuvers and unauthorized transit within the Strait.
