PNN – Amnesty International has called for an investigation into attacks by the Israeli regime on southern Lebanon, urging that they be examined as war crimes.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; citing Al-Mayadeen, Amnesty International called for an inquiry into three attacks carried out by the Israeli regime in southern Lebanon last March, which resulted in the deaths of 24 civilians.
The organization stated that three Israeli airstrikes—which killed 24 civilians, including 12 children, and wiped out entire families—must be investigated as war crimes.
According to an Amnesty International report, these attacks targeted residential homes in the cities of Tyre and Nabatieh, as well as the village of Arki near Sidon, between March 6 and 13.
Meanwhile, the stance of Israeli officials indicates that the regime—in violation of its commitments under the framework agreement and contrary to US pledges and guarantees made during negotiations with Iran—is seeking to prolong its occupation of southern Lebanon.
Citing Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, Israeli media reported his response to Donald Trump’s statement that Israel would withdraw from Lebanon: We did not seek permission from anyone to enter Lebanon, nor do we need anyone’s permission to remain there.
