PNN – A military analyst for the Hebrew-language newspaper Maariv examined the consequences of the aggression by the US and the Zionist regime against Iran in an article, emphasizing that both parties have suffered defeat at the hands of Iran for various reasons.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Avi Ashkenazi, a military analyst for Maariv, addressed the course of the US and Zionist regime’s aggression against Iran in his article. He described the strategies and actions employed by the US and Israel to achieve their wartime objectives as amateurish, arguing that this very factor led to their defeat.
In this article, Ashkenazi wrote that the United States and Israel launched a precision-targeted war against Iran. They pursued several objectives: regime change, the elimination of nuclear capabilities, the dismantling of the ballistic missile program, and the severing of Iran’s ties with “Axis of Resistance” groups.
He added that the plans and strategies devised to achieve these goals became a point of weakness for the U.S. and Israel in this conflict. A simple retrospective look reveals that these actions were amateurish and naive, and that they committed four major errors.
This military analyst wrote: First and foremost, the failure to form broad coalitions comprising European nations—and, of course, the Arab states of the Persian Gulf—was a mistake. It has now become evident that Arab nations such as Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain are militarily weak; their armies are prepared merely for maneuvers and exercises, lacking any true fighting spirit.
He added: The second issue concerned preparations and the decision regarding the collapse or weakening of the regime in Tehran.
Furthermore, disregarding the US military’s inability to conduct ground operations in Iran, this Israeli analyst claimed that the third mistake was the failure to deploy ground forces into the tunnels of Iran’s nuclear facilities at Natanz, Isfahan, Bushehr, and other sites.
He added: For military operations to succeed, they must be conducted on the ground. Combat actions inevitably place fighters at risk, and casualties cannot be avoided.
He added: One must accept that wars are not flawless undertakings; a leader who goes to war must realize they are bound to put fighters in harm’s way, and that some of them will not return from the battlefield. The White House struggled to come to terms with this reality.
Ashkenazi stated: The fourth instance where the US and Israel failed was Iran’s operation in the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz. This represented a tactical failure on the part of American commanders.
He added: Iran’s moves to control the Strait of Hormuz constituted the greatest strategic achievement in history, and the United States is attempting to conceal its failure there.
He also stated that Iranians are smarter than U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and do not view the two as being alike. In the current climate, Iran is treating Donald Trump just as it treated former U.S. Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Iran’s actions were not limited to the events surrounding the U.S. Embassy in Tehran; rather, they had far-reaching consequences.
Regarding the possibility of the war spreading to occupied Palestine, he stated: The answer to this question is complex and depends largely on Donald Trump’s mood; however, the president’s state of mind is not the only factor influencing the outcome. Given the current circumstances, it is unlikely that we will see a new round of war at this time. The US president currently lacks the political mandate and the ability to sway public opinion in the United States toward entering an all-out war.
