PNN – Islamic Republic of Iran’s Foreign Minister emphasized that any potential aggression by the enemies of the Iranian nation would be met with a response even more severe than in the past.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated in an interview: Consultations through intermediaries are very intensive.
He added: We have presented our terms and our proposal; everything now depends on Washington’s political rationality.
Araghchi stated: If they choose sincere diplomacy, we are ready to engage; however, should they intend to resort to deception or military action, they will face a response far harsher and more severe than anything they have experienced in the past.
Regarding relations with Turkmenistan—a topic he addressed while visiting Ashgabat—he remarked: Our relationship with Turkmenistan is a good one. There are numerous historical, cultural, familial, political, and economic ties between the two nations, and both countries have consistently demonstrated a political will to preserve and strengthen these relations.
Araghchi stated: Today’s visit went very well. Detailed briefings were provided to the President and the Foreign Minister regarding the latest regional developments, the status of negotiations, and the readiness of the armed forces. Furthermore, key economic projects between the two nations were reviewed, and significant executive decisions were reached.
The Foreign Minister added: Given the sensitivity of the current situation, consultations and deliberations have intensified. Qatar and Pakistan, acting as mediators, are playing a very active role. We have articulated our terms and our proposal; ultimately, everything hinges on political rationality in Washington. If they choose sincere diplomacy, we are ready to engage; however, should they opt for deception or military action, they will face a response far harsher and more severe than anything they have encountered before.
Araghchi emphasized that Tehran’s conditions for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz are entirely clear and transparent. If these conditions are accepted, the Strait will be reopened and negotiations will resume; otherwise, the current situation will persist, and Iran will not bow.
He added that the consultations held in Beijing by the Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council took place within the framework of ongoing strategic engagement with key partners, covering broad regional issues, security matters, and topics concerning peace and war.
