PNN – A prominent Arab analyst noted that the closure of the Straits of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab has drained the coffers of Arab nations.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Abdul Bari Atwan, editor-in-chief of the pan-Arab newspaper Rai al-Youm, emphasized that Persian Gulf states are deeply dissatisfied with Trump’s policies aimed at dragging them into a war of attrition against Iran and the Axis of Resistance.
He continued: Trump failed to deliver the promised security, and the closure of the Straits of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab has brought the treasuries of these (Persian Gulf Arab) nations to the brink of depletion.
The prominent Arab analyst asserted: As its military credibility wanes, the US will likely abandon its allies to their fate—much like what occurred in Afghanistan and Iraq—leaving the Persian Gulf states to bear the cost of this failure in the form of trillions of dollars in losses.
