PNN – An analyst of regional strategic affairs, pointing to the factors driving the internal collapse of the Zionist regime, stated that a future war would bring an end to American hegemony and lead to the collapse of the Zionist regime.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Abdul Bari Atwan—an analyst of regional strategic affairs—noted that the occupying Zionist regime will have no place in the “New Middle East.” He emphasized that this is not merely the view of Muslims; it is also the perspective of Tom Barrack—a U.S. envoy to Syria and Iraq—who bases his assessment on a confidential report from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The most significant point in this report is its assertion that the Zionist regime faces the threat of internal collapse and stands on the brink of civil war.
Several reasons have been cited for this situation, the most significant of which are as follows:
First: Rising military expenditures due to conflicts involving Iran, Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip—costs that have surged dramatically since the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation on October 7, 2023.
Second: Intensifying conflict between the ultra-Orthodox (Haredim) and the secular population, a dynamic that could accelerate the regime’s collapse and disintegration.
Third: Mounting economic pressures resulting from the costs of war across seven fronts—on none of which has Israel achieved victory.
Fourth: A fundamental shift in U.S. financial and military support. This change has emerged at a time when more than 60 percent of Republicans and 70 percent of Democrats have no affinity for the Zionist regime. They view Israel as responsible for potentially dragging their country into a war with Iran—a conflict in which the United States has no stake. These individuals are calling for an end to the funding of Israel through American taxpayer dollars, arguing that these resources should instead be directed toward addressing domestic crises in the U.S., particularly the rising cost of living and the collapse of public services.
Fifth: The military and economic attrition of the United States resulting from the war with Iran—a conflict that has cost over $100 billion to date. This war has undermined America’s stature as a major power.
Is the U.S. Backing Away from the Burden of Supporting Israel?
Atwan adds that the greatest threat to the existence of the Zionist regime can be summarized by two fundamental factors: internal collapse and social fragmentation, alongside the absence of a major global power willing to take responsibility for the Zionist project, shield it from failure, and provide it with the instruments of power—as the United States is gradually withdrawing from the heavy burden of supporting the Zionist project.
Noting that the Zionist regime has become a universally reviled entity, he stated that Tel Aviv has lost its ability to play the victim—a tactic that had long served as one of its most potent weapons. This shift has come in the wake of the genocide in Gaza, the deliberate starvation of the population, and the killing of children across the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and southern Lebanon.
Netanyahu’s Fatal Self-Sabotage
The Arab analyst also pointed to a new threat issued by Netanyahu against the Palestinian Authority (PA). He emphasized that Netanyahu has threatened to confront the PA with a major “surprise”—a move that would entail the dissolution of the Authority, the disarmament of its security forces, the annulment of the Oslo Accords, and the exile of its leadership to Jordan.
Atwan described this move as a “deadly bullet” that will rebound toward Netanyahu himself, bringing an end to his political career; indeed, it may well mark the beginning of a countdown to the end of the Zionist regime’s very existence.
Emphasizing that it is the “Axis of Resistance” that will reshape the Middle East and its long-standing maps, he added that this legendary steadfastness—manifested across both military and political arenas—stands as a prime testament to the Axis’s victory and the defeat of the aggressors—namely the United States and Israel—along with all their Arab and Muslim allies.
In conclusion, he stated that a future war could relegate the great victory of the United States and the West in the Second World War to the sidelines, redraw the global map of power, and topple American hegemony from the position it has held for over 80 years.
