PNN – The War Zone, a website specializing in military affairs, reported that the US Air Force is looking to purchase all remaining MQ-9 Reaper drones to compensate for the heavy losses suffered in Iran and Yemen.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the total value of the drones shot down in these operations is estimated at about $1 billion.

According to a US Air Force spokesman, the agency is considering purchasing MQ-9A Block 5 drones that were previously produced for other customers and are no longer needed by them. These successive failures have raised questions in military circles about the possibility of returning the older MQ-1 Predator drones to service.
