PNN – Bloomberg reported today that several European countries have accepted the idea of paying tolls to Iran and Oman for vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Bloomberg reported that several major European nations have agreed to the proposal that their ships pay tolls to Iran and Oman when transiting the Strait of Hormuz, deeming such payments inevitable in the wake of warmongering by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.
Furthermore, some Arab officials from Persian Gulf states—despite expressing a different view in their official stances—are informally pursuing this idea.
According to the report, the costs that countries would incur when passing through the Strait of Hormuz remain undetermined; however, European nations have urged Iranian and Omani officials not to discriminate among vessels based on nationality.
Last week, Oman informed European officials that a return to the pre-war status quo in the Strait of Hormuz is impossible, and that vessels passing through the waterway may face charges for pollution cleanup services and navigation costs.
