British media: The US has failed to change Iran’s stance.

British media

PNN – A British media outlet emphasized in a report that the United States has failed to weaken Iran’s resolve, and Tehran remains steadfast in its core positions, including the issue of controlling the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Pointing to Trump’s repeated threats, the BBC’s international editor stated that he has no better option than negotiating with Iran. He wrote: Trump’s new threats are certainly not his final word; he has repeatedly commented on war and the agreement.

The BBC noted that Trump’s statements over the past few months have fluctuated—ranging from claiming victory and threatening to destroy Iranian civilization to subsequently advocating for negotiations. The British outlet emphasized: The U.S. has failed to break Iran’s will to the point where it would abandon its core positions, including control over the Strait of Hormuz.

According to this note, amidst his recent verbal onslaught, there was a tacit acknowledgment that negotiations would continue. The BBC reported that Trump’s remarks today could be seen as a further admission that the U.S. president, despite all his bluster, has no better option than negotiation. The BBC’s international editor described the funeral procession for the revolution’s martyred leader as a sign of strong public support for the Iranian government, noting: The U.S., together with Israel, tried and failed to destroy the Iranian government.

However, the British media outlet emphasized that the negotiation process is fragile; citing a source from one of the mediating countries, it added that the incident is “definitely a setback” and the atmosphere is “highly tense.” Tensions between Iran and the United States in Iran’s southern waters have once again escalated.

Early Wednesday morning, the United States military violated the ceasefire and launched attacks against military and civilian targets along Iran’s coastline. In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its naval and aerospace forces—conducting a joint missile and drone operation—had struck 85 key U.S. military installations and shot down an enemy MQ-9 drone.
