PNN – A US media outlet has admitted to the US military’s inability to counter Iranian missiles.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; CBS acknowledged the US military’s inability to deal with Iranian missiles, stating that when an Iranian missile strikes its intended target, it is because US air defense systems either failed to intercept it or were unable to detect it in the first place.
The outlet added: When this happens more than once, it is no longer merely an “incursion,” but a problem for the United States.
A military analyst told the news network that part of the reason for the rise in U.S. casualties is that Tehran has escalated its level of response.
Continuing his remarks to the network, Major General Qased Mahmoud, a Jordanian military analyst, noted that the Iranians possess advanced missile technology. He explained that they are developing techniques and capabilities to extend their range and—by combining these with drones—are able to saturate radar-based defense systems.
The report indicates that the Iranians use simple missiles to divert radar attention, subsequently launching more sophisticated missiles that alter their final trajectory during the last 30 to 40 kilometers of flight. This change in course makes intercepting the missiles significantly more difficult.
