PNN – In a report, the American network CNN mocked Donald Trump’s embarrassing flight from Turkey—prompted by fear of Iran—and questioned how he could claim victory over Iran under such circumstances.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; CNN examined the repercussions of U.S. President Donald Trump’s covert departure from Turkey in a food delivery truck, a move made out of fear regarding threats from Iran.
Criticizing Donald Trump’s use of a supply truck to secretly flee a NATO member state (Turkey) out of fear of Iran, CNN described the situation as “embarrassing,” adding that this “ruse” evoked damaging, stereotypical images of a “war of attrition that Trump is unable to end.”
The network added that the scene of Trump’s covert departure following the NATO summit is being interpreted as a new challenge to American power. This raises a fundamental question: if the U.S. President cannot guarantee his own security on the soil of a key ally, “how can one believe his administration’s claims regarding the actual destruction of Iran’s military capabilities?”
CNN noted that Iran’s apparent success in forcing Trump to back down counts as a “propaganda victory,” given that—despite Trump’s rhetoric—the Iranian regime does not appear to be on the verge of collapse or begging for a deal. The network added that the Ankara airport incident merely reflects the “contrast between the harsh reality and the rosy narrative” promoted by the US administration.
CNN went on to address other claims made by Trump regarding Iran, noting that over the past two days he has insisted the Strait of Hormuz is “open”—even though the strait is under Tehran’s control—a situation highlighting the fact that U.S. forces have been striving for months to return to the pre-war status quo.
Trump’s covert exit clashes with his “image of strength”
The network argues that Trump’s surreptitious departure in this manner is inconsistent with the image he cultivates of himself as a winner and a strongman.
CNN noted with a touch of irony that while security protocols may compel leaders to use secure routes—such as underground parking garages, rear entrances, or service elevators—Trump made his escape riding in a small, ordinary hydraulic food-delivery truck in Ankara.
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, a potential Democratic candidate for the 2028 election, told CNN in response: Trump put people at risk to save himself; that is exactly who Donald Trump is. He added: He slipped away in a supply truck while reporters and staff were on a plane that was apparently under threat.
US Strategic Disarray
CNN believes that various indicators point to US strategic disarray; notably, a war in which Trump claimed victory just days after it began has severely depleted US missile stockpiles. Reports indicate that 80 percent of the interceptor missiles for a key missile defense system have been expended.
