PNN – A confidential CIA report indicates that Israel faces the risk of civil war or the collapse of its state structure.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; a confidential report by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) warns that Israel is facing the threat of civil war or state collapse due to deepening political, economic, and social divisions.
As reported by Drop Site News, this assessment was prepared in August by the CIA’s “Red Cell” unit. Titled “Fracture from within,” the report examines Israel’s internal situation based on information from U.S. sources. The Red Cell unit is tasked with providing alternative analyses and challenging prevailing assessments within the U.S. intelligence community.
According to the report, rising military costs, the economic crisis, the return of reservists from prolonged combat, disputes over military service exemptions for ultra-Orthodox Jews, and escalating settler violence in the West Bank are factors exacerbating internal divisions within Israel.
The assessment also points to the political crisis surrounding Benjamin Netanyahu and the October 27 elections, warning that the presence of large numbers of armed personnel—many of whom are war-traumatized—combined with heightened political tensions, could pave the way for internal conflict.
The CIA report also identifies declining foreign support for Israel, mounting economic pressures, and the potential withdrawal of investments by technology companies as additional factors that could further jeopardize the regime’s stability should the internal crisis escalate.
The CIA has not yet issued an official comment regarding this report.
