PNN – An informed source said that the continued aggression of the Zionist regime against southern Lebanon has stopped the Iranian negotiating team’s trip to Switzerland to begin negotiations.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, an informed source stated in an interview with Al-Mayadeen News Network that the negotiating team of the Islamic Republic of Iran has suspended its trip to Switzerland, which was supposed to begin the first round of negotiations, following the continued attacks of the Zionist regime on southern Lebanon.
The source added: The Iranian team was practically ready to leave for Switzerland to begin the first round of negotiations; but following recent developments and the escalation of the Zionist regime’s aggression, it decided to stop the trip.
He clarified: Tehran had previously informed the American side and the mediators that the Lebanon file is one of the central issues for the Islamic Republic of Iran in the negotiations process and that the continuation or cessation of the talks is tied to the developments in this file.
The source also emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran has warned that the continuation of the Zionist regime’s operations and aggressions to a depth of 10 kilometers in Lebanese territory is a clear violation of the first paragraph of the “Memorandum of Understanding” and the “Framework Agreement” and could directly affect the negotiations process.
