PNN – The Egyptian Foreign Minister has expressed deep concern regarding the potential for new conflicts in the region.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Reuters, Badr Abdelatty—speaking at a regional security conference organized by a strategic research institute in Bahrain—emphasized his profound concern over the possibility of a new conflict erupting.

He warned that a new conflict between Iran and the United States would be even more devastating and would entail far-reaching consequences.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister had previously stated that Egypt is among the nations most severely affected by the aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.

He further stated—without specifying who was responsible for these acts of aggression—that the core issue in the Iran crisis is a “lack of trust,” and that resolving this crisis requires taking gradual steps toward de-escalation and adhering to the (Islamabad) memorandum of understanding.
