Erdogan: We are all paying the price for the war Israel started against Iran.

paying the price

PNN – The Turkish President stated that everyone is paying the price for the war against Iran initiated by Israel, and that the global trend of rising prices will continue until the standoff in the Strait of Hormuz is resolved.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Russia Today; Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan declared on Monday that Turkey stands against all forms of oppression, injustice, arrogance, and tyranny, and will remain committed to this stance. He added that, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summits, he held significant bilateral talks with world leaders, including Vladimir Putin.

The Turkish President then continued: As long as the current impasse in the Strait of Hormuz remains unresolved, the trend of rising prices worldwide will persist. Everyone, without exception, is paying the price for the war against Iran initiated by Israel; it is not only the people of Iran or the nations of the Persian Gulf region who are bearing this cost.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan added: The Islamabad agreement—the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the US—also collapsed due to Israel’s provocative actions.

This is while, prior to the start of the American-Zionist aggression against Iranian territory in February of this year, the Strait of Hormuz was secure and transit through it proceeded smoothly; however, following the “Ramadan War” and the insecurity instigated in this strategic region by the aggressors, a wave of rising prices—driven by this instability—has swept across the globe.
