PNN – A former CIA officer stated that Iranians never flee and, throughout nearly three millennia of history, have defeated enemies far more formidable than the United States.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; citing RT, Michael Scheuer—speaking on the program “War without Aim,” which was released on the RT website on Friday—added: I have long questioned the sanity of the US government. Donald Trump is simply the president who displays this trait more openly and starkly than previous leaders.
He continued: We must remember that we haven’t won a single war since 1945. I am not even certain we have engaged in a war since 1945 that was actually worth fighting. But regarding Iran, the problem lies in a failure to read history books; history is never consulted, and almost no one in our universities does so either.
The former CIA officer emphasized: If they had studied history, they would have known that the Iranians are not going to run away. They never flee, and over the course of nearly three millennia, they have defeated enemies far more formidable than us. We are dealing with a U.S. administration that displays its ignorance and lack of knowledge about the world to an extraordinary degree.
Schuerr added: There is no one who can explain, regarding the history of Iran, the defining characteristic of this nation when facing hardships and challenges. This is the same problem we encountered in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Vietnam.
He continued: People [in other countries] do not like being subjected to force and pressure; in many nations, they prefer to fight and die rather than surrender. This is the reality we are facing, yet no one accepts it. There is no way out of this situation.
Acknowledging the influence of the Israeli lobby on U.S. politics, Scheuer explained: Another point I want to make—and it is perhaps just as important—is that we are under the control of the Israelis. Congress, the U.S. President, and the country’s major capitalists are controlled by the Israelis, and no one dares to stand up and say: ‘Enough is enough. I have taken this money, and now I am giving it back; take whatever legal action you wish against me, but I will no longer be a servant to the Israelis.’
