PNN – A former White House Chief of Staff has acknowledged that the Zionist regime has become a global pariah.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Zman Yisrael published an analysis featuring Rahm Emanuel—a U.S. Representative and former White House Chief of Staff who is himself Jewish—discussing the collapse of the Zionist regime’s standing in global public opinion. Speaking at a press conference in Tel Aviv, he warned Zionists that Israel has transformed into a pariah state on the world stage.
He, who served as White House Chief of Staff during Barack Obama’s presidency, recalled a trip he took to occupied Jerusalem sixteen years ago—specifically, his attendance at a private gathering and an attack launched against him by Itamar Ben-Gwer (the Israeli regime’s Minister of National Security).
Another part of the Hebrew-language media report notes: Sixteen years have passed since then; Ben-Gwer has not changed, but Israel has. The individual—Ben-Gwer—who was once removed from a private party by the police is now the person ultimately in charge of the Israeli police force; it would be difficult to find a better example illustrating the profound transformation Israeli society is undergoing as it shifts toward greater extremism.
Emanuel came to Tel Aviv this week to point out something to Israelis that they are reluctant to hear: Ben-Gwer’s rise in the political arena is not merely an isolated incident or a personal affair, but rather a consequence of a much broader trend.
He informed us that our academics can no longer participate in conferences and gatherings held outside [occupied Palestine], our artists are not invited to international events, and protests against our athletes at international competitions are on the rise; in short, we have become a pariah entity.
As Zman Yisrael acknowledged, this was not a reprimand, but rather a reflection of the true image that many American Jews clearly see.
Elsewhere in the report, the author wrote: When I asked him at the press conference whether he had met with any figures opposed to Netanyahu—those seeking to oust him—during the trip, he answered emphatically, No; my initial intention was simply to meet with Herzog [the Israeli president].
According to Emanuel, he did not want to repeat the pattern Netanyahu has followed for years regarding the U.S. Democratic Party—namely, aligning himself almost exclusively with the Republican Party. Consequently, despite his interest in getting to know Naftali Bennett and Gadi Eisenkot, he decided against meeting them.
Addressing Israelis, this American Jewish politician said: If you imagine that your only problem in the United States is with the Democrats, you are sorely mistaken; your problem is with the American people as a whole—Democrats and Republicans alike, and especially the younger generation under the age of 30. We have reached a point where American Jews are more upset and angry with Benjamin Netanyahu than they are with [New York Mayor] de Blasio.
