PNN – The latest Fox News poll indicates that 63 percent of Americans believe Donald Trump has worsened the state of the U.S. economy.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Fox News; respondents were asked to name the most important issue facing the country without being provided a list of options; 34 percent cited the “cost of living,” while another 14 percent identified the “economy and jobs” as their primary concern.
In contrast, only eight percent cited immigration, four percent pointed to a potential U.S. war with Iran, and one percent identified artificial intelligence and data centers as their top concerns.
The poll also showed that 62 percent of Americans consider food prices to be a major problem.
Sixty-one percent hold the same view regarding gasoline prices; 54 percent feel this way about housing, and 52 percent about healthcare costs.
Additionally, 63 percent believe that the Trump administration has worsened the U.S. economy.
Meanwhile, results from a new Wall Street Journal poll indicate that the approval rating for U.S. President Donald Trump has fallen to the lowest level ever recorded for a president in the newspaper’s surveys, with the midterm elections just weeks away.
In the Wall Street Journal poll, 60 percent of respondents stated that Trump’s economic policies had worsened the economic situation.
In contrast, 25 percent said these policies had improved conditions, while 10 percent stated that Trump’s policies had no impact on the economy. Five percent of respondents either did not answer the question or were unsure about the impact of Trump’s economic policies on the U.S. economy.
