PNN – Hundreds of Japanese anti-war activists gathered in front of the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo to protest against a war with Iran.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the 12th “Peace for Iran” rally was organized by the “Our Iran Association” and Japanese anti-war activists in front of the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo.
During the gathering, a representative from the “Our Iran Association” stated: For over two hundred years, Iran has not attacked any country; it has only defended its own territory. Iran seeks to be an independent and free nation, capable of deciding its own future—is this a crime?
He added: The people of Iran were subjected to bombardment and lost their leader; they suffered over five thousand martyrs and twenty-seven thousand wounded—yet they stood against the United States with all their might, and have grown even firmer with each passing day.
The representative of the “Our Iran Association” also stated: The United States claims that Iran is not interested in negotiations. Yet, in 2018, it was the U.S. that withdrew from the nuclear agreement—the JCPOA. Even during the war, Iran sat at the negotiating table three times, and on all three occasions, it was the U.S. that scuttled the process. It was the U.S. that tore up the agreement and disowned its own signature; it was the U.S. that fired shots right in the middle of the deal.
In a message to the people of Japan, he also stated: We are grateful that you stand by our side. Remaining silent in the face of oppression is tantamount to siding with the oppressor. The taxes you pay fund U.S. military bases in Japan—bases from which warships, combat aircraft, weapons, and bombs are deployed toward the Middle East. This means that, even if unintentionally, you have become complicit in this unjust war.
He continued: The Iranian nation remains steadfast. We are a peace-loving people, yet we will never surrender when attacked. The Iranian nation will hold its ground until it achieves total victory. No to oppression! No to surrender! Victory shall be ours!
He emphasized: To achieve true justice, we will stand firm with perseverance. We will continue to defend our country until America declares its defeat and withdraws from our land and the Middle East.
