Haaretz: Netanyahu is a major danger to Israel

Haaretz

PNN – In a sharp rebuke of Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks, Haaretz declared that he has lost his senses and poses a grave danger to Israel.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; amid ongoing criticism from within Zionist circles regarding recent election-related comments by the Prime Minister of the occupying regime—in which he suggested that Israel must learn to adapt to international isolation and sanctions—the Hebrew-language newspaper Haaretz launched a fierce attack on Netanyahu in today’s editorial. The paper stated that he has set a dangerous new precedent that could lead to the collapse of the Israeli economy.

Haaretz added that Netanyahu is concluding his current term as Prime Minister at a time when Israel’s international standing has reached an all-time low—a situation that, for the first time, threatens the very foundations of the nation’s economy.

This Zionist media outlet emphasized that Netanyahu’s proposal to circumvent sanctions would paralyze the banking system and the economy—which rely on foreign trade and investment—and trigger an exodus of investors.

The report further notes that banks and the business sector have been gripped by intense panic and anxiety as a result of this reckless conduct. Netanyahu treats the imposition of international sanctions—threatened by 12 nations in response to settler terrorism and construction plans in the E1 area—as an inevitable outcome, making no effort to avert them.

The aforementioned Hebrew-language media outlet further stated that Netanyahu has lost his senses and has become a captive of his extremist partners; consequently, his remaining in power poses an unprecedented danger to the Israelis.

This report follows remarks made by Netanyahu on Friday, in which he called for the development of an economic plan based on alternative methods—including digital currency—to be utilized in the event that international economic and banking sanctions are imposed against Israel.

The child-killing Prime Minister of the Zionist regime also remarked that U.S. military aid to Israel cannot be permanent, and that Israel must prepare itself for a future phase in which such assistance might come to an end.

Over 100 Israeli Economists and Former Officials Warn of Economic Isolation

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that more than 100 prominent economists, business leaders, former officials from the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance, and various academics have issued a warning in a letter, stating that Benjamin Netanyahu is deliberately steering Israel toward international sanctions and economic isolation.

The signatories of the letter have warned of the economic consequences of continuing on this path, as well as the mounting international pressure on the Israeli economy.

While economic experts in the Zionist regime offered varying assessments of Netanyahu’s remarks, they were all in agreement on one point: although digital currencies may provide a technological means for transferring funds, they neither eliminate sanctions nor compensate for the trust and the banking and commercial relationships essential for an economy to function.

The Bank of Israel also stated that the cabinet’s primary responsibility has been to strive to prevent the imposition of such sanctions; it noted that the correct approach for the Israeli economy is to maintain economic relations with key trading partners while focusing on averting sanctions and their adverse impact on the economy. Furthermore, addressing this threat falls within the purview and responsibilities of the political leadership.

On the other hand, despite Netanyahu’s remarks regarding the development of a plan to counter potential economic sanctions against Israel, sources within the regime’s economic ministries—and even senior officials in the Prime Minister’s Office—have stated that no formal, professional team is working on such a plan, which contradicts Netanyahu’s claims.

Ron Tomer, former president of the Manufacturers Association of Israel, remarked that the scenario presented by Netanyahu could lead to commercial isolation, as well as a decline in investment and production. It appears that these statements—much like his previous rhetoric about transforming Israel into a “super-Sparta” to circumvent Western restrictions on arms exports—are merely for show.
