According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Hakeem Jeffries—the Democratic leader in the U.S. House of Representatives who may become the leader of the Democratic majority once the new Congress convenes—stressed the necessity of ending his country’s military aggression against Iran during an interview with CNN. He stated: One of the first steps that must be taken right now—even before January 3rd and the commencement of the new Congress in the New Year—is for the President and the administration to put an end to this reckless, costly, and elective war in Iran.
In this regard, the member of Congress continued: This is a war that has caused a sharp spike in the prices of gasoline, chemical fertilizers, and diesel, thereby increasing the cost of living for the American people—including the costs of food and other goods.
He then added: This war has also driven up gasoline prices. Action must be taken right now. There was never any justification for entering this war, and we must withdraw from it immediately.
