PNN – The Deputy Secretaries of the Security Councils of Iran and Russia met and stressed the necessity of a new architecture of global security.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Ali Bagheri, Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, and Alexander Vendiktov, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, met on Wednesday on the sidelines of the 14th meeting of senior security officials in Moscow and stressed the necessity of strengthening efforts for a new architecture of global security.
In this meeting, Bagheri appreciated Russia’s positions in condemning the US and Zionist regime’s military aggression against Iran and emphasized the continuation of consultations between the two countries in international forums to prevent the hegemonic regime’s efforts to further destabilize the region and the world.
Referring to Iran and Russia’s membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the BRICS group, the Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council stressed the need to strengthen joint efforts on the path to a multipolar world.
In this meeting, Alexander Vendiktov, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, also expressed his satisfaction with the presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s delegation at the 14th meeting of senior security officials in Moscow and emphasized Moscow’s determination to develop bilateral cooperation with Tehran within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Treaty.
Vendiktov, praising the nation’s resistance and the performance of the Iranian armed forces in the face of the military aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime, stated: It is important to prevent the resumption of armed confrontation and pave the way for the creation of a new security architecture in the region.
He stated: We are ready to facilitate this process in any possible way.
In the meeting, which was held in the presence of Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali, the parties discussed important issues on the agenda of bilateral relations, regional and international issues.
