PNN – A senior Iranian official told Reuters: If there is no progress in negotiations with the US, we will shift to a fully aggressive policy; we will not wait for the US to prolong the blockade.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; citing Reuters, a senior Iranian official threatened that if negotiations with the US fail to yield progress, we will move toward a completely aggressive policy.
The official stated that Tehran has set a deadline of a few weeks for the implementation of the understanding, adding: We will not wait for the US to continue prolonging the blockade.
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Yadollah Javani, the Political Deputy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), stated during a special news program last night that the appointment decree for Major General Ahmad Vahidi emphasizes a new approach alongside the goal of maximum deterrence: from now on, any action taken—even if defensive in nature—must assume an offensive character. The crucial point is that the enemy is the one initiating the conflict; thus, while our actions are defensive in intent, they may well take on an offensive nature—a shift that represents one of the transformative approaches adopted by the armed forces.
