PNN – Hebrew media reported that the Iranians are confident Trump will yield and feel they are on the verge of victory.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; this analysis appeared in a Monday article on the Hebrew-language news and analysis site Behadrey Haredim; the piece states that Iranians are certain time is on their side and that military and economic pressure will force the Trump administration to accept their control over the vital Strait of Hormuz.
The report added that Iran believes the continued blocking of the Strait of Hormuz—and its impact on global fuel prices—will compel the Trump administration to accede to its demands, given the depletion of U.S. advanced missile stockpiles and the American public’s aversion to war.
Tehran holds the view that the conflict over the strait has evolved into a matter of strategic deterrence, placing the United States in a position where it has no option but to back down.
