Israeli statistics regarding the war with Iran and October 7 that will surprise you

statistics

PNN – By examining official Israeli sources, this report has uncovered interesting statistics regarding the events of October 7 and the regime’s war with Iran.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the Zionist government—in order to sustain its occupation and convince the occupiers to remain in the occupied territories—needs to portray these lands as secure and downplay the impact of any blows it sustains.

Accordingly, although in the immediate aftermath of October 7, 2023 (Operation Al-Aqsa Flood), the Israelis sought to portray the events of that day as catastrophic in order to garner international support for their horrific genocide in Gaza, their strategy shifted during the subsequent military confrontations with Lebanon and later Iran; they then focused all their efforts on exaggerating the damage inflicted upon Lebanon and Iran while downplaying their own losses—both material and human—to a significant degree.

This situation became far more acute during the 40-day war against Iran; Israeli military and security censorship was so severe that it even angered Western media outlets—such as the BBC—that generally serve Israel’s interests. In various reports, BBC journalists acknowledged that the Zionist government was denying access to any of the sites where Iranian missiles had struck.

However, now—three years after October 7, 2023—Tasnim’s Hebrew-language desk has uncovered interesting statistics by examining ten official Israeli sources and reports. These sources are:

  1. Israel National Insurance (Bituach Leumi), report dated October 4, 2026
  2. Israel Ministry of Defense (War): Casualties within the security establishment, report dated October 4, 2026
  3. Israel Ministry of Defense (War), Rehabilitation Department: Three years of war, report dated October 6, 2026
  4. Israel Defense Forces (IDF): War casualties (killed and wounded), page updated October 9, 2026
  5. INSS (Institute for National Security Studies): Three-year war dashboard; breakdown by fronts and the Iran front
  6. Israel Tax Authority: Compensation Fund, report dated October 6, 2026
  7. Detailed Compensation Fund tables based on Tax Authority data, report dated October 6–7, 2026
  8. Breakdown of direct/indirect damages and open claims, report dated October 7, 2026
  9. Israel Ministry of Health: Hospital status during “Roaring Lion,” report dated April 17, 2026
  10. Bank of Israel

Based on a comprehensive review and cross-referencing of these reports, the following results have been obtained:

First: Since October 7, 2023—and specifically taking into account the two US-Zionist acts of aggression against Iran (namely, the 12-day and 40-day wars)—87,286 individuals in the occupied territories have been officially recorded as “victims of hostile acts.” Notably, this figure does not include security forces or members of the Zionist regime’s combat units.

Second: Out of the total mentioned in the first point, 43,004 individuals have applied for a disability rating assessment! Of these, the applications of 40,404 people have been approved! Notably, the insurance authority clarifies that a portion of these cases involves psychological disability!

Third: Out of the total mentioned in the first point, 39,643 individuals required hospitalization!

Fourth: According to statistics published by the Israelis themselves, since October 7—a period encompassing two conflicts with Iran—at least 2,347 Israelis (both military and civilian) have been confirmed dead. However, this figure does not align with the total number of casualties and wounded; the actual figure is higher, a matter we will address shortly in a separate report.

Fifth: On October 6, 2026, the Israeli Ministry of War reported the number of military and security personnel wounded at 30,000. Of this total—based on official statistics and Israeli admissions—106 suffered amputations, 249 sustained complex brain injuries, and 63 were classified in the highest category of disability (exceeding 100%). This stands in stark contrast to the Zionist army’s earlier, downplayed figures, which had claimed only 6,424 wounded.

Sixth: According to data from the Israel Tax Authority—which has released updated figures from the Compensation Fund—168,000 claims for direct damage to buildings, vehicles, property, and infrastructure have been filed; additionally, approximately one million claims for indirect economic losses have been registered by businesses. Of these, 40,600 indirect damage claims remain unresolved, the vast majority of which stem from the 12-day war.

Seventh: Official reports place the damage inflicted on Israel at $12.5 billion.

While the statistics and figures cited in these reports are highly significant, a deeper analysis reveals several particularly sensitive aspects regarding them, some of which we highlight below:

  1. The filing of 168,000 direct insurance claims in the occupied territories—a significant portion of which stems from the 12-day and 40-day wars—demonstrates just how strictly the regime enforced its military and security censorship policies during these conflicts. Very few images were released, particularly during the 40-day war; meanwhile, numerous reports indicated that the regime’s police and security apparatuses were cracking down severely on anyone attempting to photograph or film the impact sites.

However, the release of these figures—documenting 168,000 cases—reveals that the number of impacts was far higher than Israel had claimed, and that Iranian missiles effectively plowed through numerous locations across the occupied territories.

  1. The official report citing 30,000 military and security-related casualties is highly significant. The regime claims that only 70 military personnel were killed during the two wars against Iran; however, if we consider a reasonable ratio of wounded to fatalities, the actual number of Israeli military deaths is far higher than 70. We will address this matter in a separate report.
  2. The fact that over 87,000 people in the occupied territories have suffered significant injuries—a large portion of which occurred during the 12-day and 40-day wars against Iran—poses a massive risk to the regime. Insecurity is the “Achilles’ heel” of this illegitimate regime, and these figures indicate that 1 percent of the population in the occupied territories has been directly harmed by the war.
