PNN – The former director of the U.S. Counterterrorism Center, pointing to Riyadh’s repeated requests for assistance from other nations, stated that Saudi Arabia will not find anyone to rescue it from the Yemen crisis.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Joe Cant, the former director of the U.S. Counterterrorism Center, stated in a video posted on the X platform that Saudi Arabia will not find anyone to save it from the crisis in Yemen.
He believes that the most cost-effective way to reopen the Bab al-Mandeb Strait to Saudi vessels is a strategy Riyadh has not yet attempted: reaching an agreement with Ansarullah.
In a video posted on the X platform (formerly Twitter), Kent stated that the “Mecca Agreement” does not address past issues, including the Yemen file; furthermore, the United States has refrained from intervening in this conflict. Noting that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is set to travel to Cairo tomorrow, Kent pointed out that, according to some reports, the Crown Prince will ask the Zionist regime to communicate with the relevant parties through the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).
Kent, who spent 2010 in Yemen, believes there is a lower-cost option available to Riyadh; he noted that no one has succeeded in subduing the northern tribes—neither Egypt, which was defeated in the Yemen war, nor the US, which attempted to do so last year before withdrawing.
Pointing out that “Ansarullah is not Al-Qaeda,” Kent added that they do not employ autonomous drones to attack just anyone. He also noted that they are not Iranian puppets, but rather partners with Iran.
According to Kent, what the Houthis want is the territory they have always held. Kent advises Riyadh to abandon “Western thinking” and return to traditional approaches. He added: This may come at a cost, but it is better to pay that price.
In recent days, Western media reports have indicated that Saudi Arabia has sought assistance from the United States, Europe, and even the Zionist regime to extricate itself from the Yemen crisis.
