PNN – Kpler reported that shipping activity in the Strait of Hormuz remains sluggish, despite news regarding negotiations between Iran and Oman.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Al Jazeera, data released by Kpler—a firm specializing in maritime data analysis—indicates that vessel traffic through key Persian Gulf waterways remains low, notwithstanding reports of talks between Iran and Oman.
Kpler reported that the number of vessel movements through the Strait of Hormuz over the past day was lower than the average recorded over the preceding ten days.
Earlier, Agence France-Presse (AFP) had also reported—citing statements from Kpler—that the average number of cargo ship movements had dropped to ten trips per day; this stands in stark contrast to the figure of 95 trips recorded prior to the onset of US aggression against Iran.
