PNN – The leader of the Israeli opposition stated that the regime is facing a serious diplomatic crisis as a result of Netanyahu’s actions.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Anadolu; Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid announced on Wednesday that the regime is facing a “serious diplomatic crisis” following mounting international criticism regarding the escalation of violence by the occupiers in the occupied West Bank.
Lapid made these remarks in a post on the social media platform X, responding to comments by French President Emmanuel Macron concerning the situation in the occupied West Bank.
In a speech delivered on Tuesday at the opening of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Macron criticized the escalation of violence by Israeli occupiers in the occupied West Bank.
He stated that the actions of the occupiers deprive the Palestinian people of their legitimate right to life.
The French president also noted that efforts to establish peace in the Gaza Strip “have failed to open any humanitarian corridors” and described the current situation as “a source of shame for all.”
Criticizing Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Lapid said: The Prime Minister’s duty is not to post on social media, but to change reality.
He added: We are facing a serious diplomatic crisis that is currently threatening Israel’s security. What has been done so far has failed, and this is a fact that cannot be denied.
Lapid continued: What have we ultimately gained? Nothing but more electioneering.
General elections in the Zionist regime are scheduled for October 27. Polls indicate that the opposition coalition is leading Netanyahu’s coalition; however, neither side has yet managed to secure the number of seats required to form a government.
Netanyahu has headed the Zionist regime’s current government since December 2022. He faces corruption charges, and the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for him regarding allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.
