PNN – A Zionist security source stated that Israel is refraining from launching a large-scale attack on the Ali al-Tahir Heights due to fear of an Iranian response.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; amidst their escalating aggression against Lebanon—and at a time when the country’s subservient government persists in pursuing shameful direct negotiations with the occupying regime even as Lebanese blood is being shed—the Zionists have, over the past two weeks, made significant efforts to focus attention on the Ali al-Tahir Heights in southern Lebanon.
The military and geographical significance of Ali al-Tahir Hill stems from its position as a crucial component of the network of high ground overlooking the eastern sector of southern Lebanon. At this stage, the Zionist regime’s army is attempting to position the Ali al-Tahir heights as its center of gravity in the battle on the Lebanese front, promoting the narrative that Israeli control over these heights paves the way for defeating the Resistance and, consequently, implementing plans to disarm it throughout Lebanon.
Nevertheless, regardless of the discourse surrounding the reality of events in the Ali al-Tahir area, it appears that the occupying forces will persist in their efforts to control the region through a security operation rather than a full-scale military offensive.
The reason for this is that Zionists believe Iran might view any large-scale military action as a violation warranting a response—a move that could jeopardize the political path favored by the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, at least for the time being.
In this context, the Hebrew newspaper Maariv reported last night, citing a Zionist security source that Israel does not intend to withdraw from the area surrounding the Ali al-Tahir Heights in southern Lebanon.
Echoing claims by the occupying regime’s army regarding the encirclement of dozens of Hezbollah members within underground facilities in the Ali al-Tahir area, this Zionist media outlet—citing the aforementioned security source—reported that Israel fears a large-scale attack on these facilities could trigger an Iranian response involving drones or missiles, potentially widening the scope of the conflict once again.
The Zionist security source emphasized that these concerns, combined with US pressure to continue the withdrawal from southern Lebanon, prompted the Israeli army to conduct a limited operation in the Ali al-Tahir area rather than a full-scale assault.
The aforementioned source acknowledged the difficulty of occupying and controlling Lebanese territory for an extended period, stating that Israel has no choice but to withdraw from southern Lebanon.
Consequently, the deliberate leaking of news regarding developments in the Al-Taher area by Zionist media and allied outlets illustrates a long-standing Israeli operational method based on the pre-fabrication of narratives. This approach aims to transform any battlefield success into a massive political and psychological achievement, the impact of which far exceeds the actual results on the ground.
