PNN – Hebrew-language media have reported the hospitalization of a significant number of Zionist soldiers due to severe poisoning.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the Ynet news site—affiliated with the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper—cited the families of several female soldiers stationed at the Nitzanim military base, reporting that dozens of these soldiers have suffered severe physical complications resulting from acute poisoning.
The report continues: Families of female Israeli soldiers stated that dozens of young women at the Nitzanim base consumed a meat meal on the eve of the Jewish New Year and, despite suffering from severe physical distress due to acute food poisoning, received treatment from only a single medic.
The father of one of the new recruits said: They did not see a doctor and were treated with contempt until we intervened.
Part of the report notes that female soldiers at the Nitzanim training base have been suffering from malaise and severe gastrointestinal issues since the Jewish New Year’s Eve dinner on Tuesday evening.
The Israeli military has claimed that only nine female soldiers fell ill and that the issue is unrelated to the food provided.
However, the father of one of the female soldiers told the news website Ynet on Sunday that the soldiers in question were the ones who had eaten the meat dish, and that the number of those who fell ill is far higher than the figures announced by the Israeli military.
Having returned from weekend leave, these female soldiers had spent the entire week at the base and were scheduled to complete their basic training this week.
The father of one of them said: My daughter said at least 50 girls are sick. They are suffering from diarrhea and vomiting and are in very bad condition. My daughter said the meat dish smelled terrible, which is why some of the female soldiers refused to eat it.
According to him, the female soldiers who complained about their condition were forced to continue guard duty without receiving medical care: No doctor came; only a medic examined them.
They were not permitted to use the restroom while on guard duty. They were treated with indignity until their families intervened last night.
We cannot ask them to continue standing guard under such conditions. One of the female soldiers reported for duty despite being ill, but she fainted and collapsed on the way; her arm is now bandaged.
