PNN – Ahead of the Knesset elections, the Chief of the General Staff of the Zionist regime has ordered an increase in the military’s state of readiness across all fronts in Israel.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; sources reported on Monday that the Zionist regime’s military has implemented extensive security measures in the lead-up to the Knesset elections.

Following a security assessment meeting, Eyal Zamir, the Chief of the General Staff, ordered all units to raise their alert level on every front. Under this directive, military personnel are prohibited from leaving their bases starting next Thursday, and all leave has been completely suspended.

In the West Bank, an additional brigade command is being deployed to the area between the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, and the military presence in Jerusalem and along the security barrier will be increased. On other fronts, reinforcements—across ground, air, and naval forces—will be placed on standby, ready to intervene should any security developments arise.

Zamir has also emphasized the need for a greater presence of senior commanders in operations rooms, headquarters, and units to ensure the military’s operational readiness is maintained throughout the election period. Hebrew-language media have reported that these measures will take effect starting Thursday, as the Knesset elections approach.

Elections for the Knesset (the parliament of the Zionist regime) are typically accompanied by extensive security measures and a state of high alert among military and police forces. During election periods, concerns regarding potential operations in the West Bank and Jerusalem intensify; consequently, the military seeks to maintain security stability by deploying reinforcements and increasing its presence in sensitive areas.

Measures such as suspending leave for military personnel and prohibiting them from leaving their bases are standard protocols ahead of sensitive political events, signaling that combat units have been placed on full alert. The region between the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem is also a high-tension area, to which reinforcements are dispatched during such critical periods.
