PNN – A professor of strategy and Middle East affairs at the University of Haifa warned of the Zionist regime’s growing strategic dependence on the United States, stating that Tel Aviv has lost its former freedom of action and that neither its economy, society, nor air force can withstand a long-term conflict with Iran.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Amtzia Baram, a professor of strategy and Middle East affairs at the University of Haifa, warned in an interview with the Zionist newspaper Maariv that the Zionist regime is facing deep strategic and political problems in addition to military challenges.
Criticizing Tel Aviv’s growing reliance on the United States, Baram stated that the most significant development resulting from the war is the Zionist regime’s unprecedented dependence on Washington.
He stated: In my view, all the activities we currently undertake against Iran are dictated by the United States. We have always relied to some extent on American power, but we have never reached the level of dependency we see today. We previously enjoyed a certain degree of operational independence, but we have now lost that independence; this is our current strategic reality.
He added: Under current circumstances, there is a risk that the United States might impose a policy upon us that, while aligning with Washington’s interests, conflicts with Israel’s interests.
Acknowledging that the Zionist regime lacks the capacity to withstand successive, long-term conflicts with Iran, this Zionist expert stated: Israel is not built for an exchange of strikes with Iran over a period of months; neither its economy, nor its society, nor even its air force possesses the capacity for such a sustained confrontation.
In another part of his remarks, addressing the Zionist regime’s international standing, Bar-Am stated: Israel’s image on the global stage has deteriorated. A large part of the world now views us with greater caution and skepticism, and even in the United States, we are witnessing unfavorable shifts in public opinion regarding Israel.
In conclusion, while urging the Zionist regime’s cabinet to capitalize on political opportunities in Lebanon and Syria, he warned against the continuation of the current trajectory and the deepening of Tel Aviv’s strategic dependence on the United States.
