PNN – The U.S. Department of War (the Pentagon) has increased the reported death toll of its military personnel involved in aggression against Iranian territory, releasing the figures in a piecemeal fashion.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing The Washington Post, the Pentagon—by releasing casualty figures for its forces involved in aggression against Iran in a trickle—has acknowledged that the number of its troops killed is higher than previously reported.
By adding two more Air Force personnel to its database, the Pentagon has raised the official death toll of U.S. military personnel killed in connection with aggression against Iran to 23.
The U.S. Department of War made a baseless claim, asserting that both Air Force service members died in incidents classified as “non-hostile” (non-combat).
The U.S. Air Force claimed that one of them died due to illness, while the cause of death for the second individual has not yet been announced and remains under investigation.
Meanwhile, according to American media outlets, the U.S. government—on the eve of the congressional midterm elections—is refraining from providing accurate figures regarding the number of its military personnel killed or wounded during Iran’s retaliatory attacks.
