New York Times: Trump prefers negotiation over war

PNN – The American newspaper The New York Times reported that assessments by U.S. analysts indicate Donald Trump favors negotiation over war.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; The New York Times—citing assessments from U.S. officials and analysts—wrote that U.S. President Donald Trump prefers negotiation to an escalation of conflict with Iran, as it has become clear that such a war would cost him support among voters, officials, and military analysts.

Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal, citing intermediaries, claims that Iran has signaled a tentative willingness to engage in discussions regarding nuclear issues, though it has yet to offer any tangible concessions.

It is worth noting that Iran, through intermediary nations, has presented the United States with seven conditions for the resumption of negotiations and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, demanding that all of them be met. Meanwhile, the U.S. elections—and the heavy defeat suffered by the Republicans—have demonstrated that the prospect of war with Iran has significantly accelerated the decline in public support for Trump’s hawkish policies.
