PNN – ABC News reported that the Pentagon has not held a press briefing on the war since early May.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; ABC News reported that four U.S. service members killed during renewed clashes between the U.S. and Iran in recent weeks have not been included in the official casualty figures for the war against Iran.
This has raised questions regarding the accurate accounting of the impact on U.S. military personnel.
The Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS)—which Pentagon officials have repeatedly cited as the definitive source for casualty figures in this conflict—removed the names of four fallen service members and dozens of wounded personnel from the statistics for the war against Iran last week.
CENTCOM, the Pentagon, and the White House are also avoiding comment. Since the resumption of hostilities, the Pentagon has released even less information than it did during the initial phase of the conflict.
The Pentagon has not held a press briefing on the war since early May, and CENTCOM officials no longer provide casualty updates to reporters.
