PNN – Sean Parnell, a senior Pentagon spokesperson, claimed that since July 7, one hundred U.S. military personnel have been injured in multiple attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran on U.S. military bases in the region.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Parnell stated in an interview with CBS News that most of these military personnel suffered minor injuries, and the majority have returned to duty.
He claimed that the injuries sustained by the vast majority of these personnel were minor.
The Pentagon had previously announced, in the latest update to its casualty database, that another 13 U.S. military personnel—comprising 10 Army soldiers and three Navy sailors—had been wounded.
The Pentagon stated that with the wounding of these 13 personnel, the total number of wounded military members has risen from 414 to 427.
According to the report, of the 14 fatalities recorded during the U.S. military aggression against Iran and the offensive operation dubbed “Epic Fury,” seven were killed in the early days of the conflict during drone strikes on U.S. bases in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia; six others died in the crash of a refueling aircraft in Iraq; and a Navy pilot was killed this month (July) in a helicopter crash in the Arabian Sea.
Meanwhile, the U.S. military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that, over the past week, Iran has targeted U.S. forces and assets in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan.
According to the report, the U.S. military has not provided details regarding the locations where additional U.S. military personnel were injured, and the U.S. Department of Defense has referred inquiries on the matter to CENTCOM.
